Can I Install a On Off Switch on the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter C59236?
Question:
Hello, I have a 2014 mercedes e350 wagon that I will be using this kit on. One thing I havent seen mentioned is the amp draw of the converter. Would it be possible to install a switch on the power wire to the converter so that I can turn it on only when I need to tow? I often leave the car parked for awhile and I dont want this converter to drain the battery while parked. Thabk you, -Colin

Yes, you could install a switch on the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter item # C59236 somewhere along the 12v power line. If it was me I would just remove the fuse when you're not towing. It will accomplish the same thing and the fuse mounts close to your battery so it'll be easily accessible.
