Crossbar-Style Base Plate And Flat Tow Wiring For A 2017 Volkswagen Jetta
Question:
I have a road master towbar and I’m going to install a hook up for a 2017 vw jetta, I already have the falcon and the crossbar from my previous mini cooper. It was the cross bar style hook up. What mount do I need for my Jetta? Also what wiring harness do I need for my Jetta? Thank you

Hey Brent I can definitely help with that. For your 2017 Volkswagen Jetta you will need the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # RM-521238-4. This will go with the crossbar and Flacon tow bar that you already have.
For a wiring kit I recommend the Roadmaster Diode Kit # RM-15267. This is a complete wiring kit so you will get everything you need to wire the Jetta, as well as all of the components needed to connect to the 7-way plug on your coach.
If you are planning on using a supplemental braking system, I recommend using the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System # SM99251. This is our most popular and most reliable braking system. It installs permanently on the towed vehicle. Virtually all of the components are installed out of sight which is another nice feature. We always recommend using a braking system since most states require it by law.
I have linked a few install and review videos for these products below.
