Will Tankless Water Heater Conserve Energy While Off-Grid Camping

Question:

Would you recommend a tankless water heater for off grid camping with limited fresh water supply? I am thinking about replacing my older atwood G68-8E but want to conserve water and propane.

Hey Mike, that's a good question and the answer 100 percent is yes, go with a tankless water heater while off-grid camping. They use less energy and work faster so the only water and energy you use is exactly what is needed. All you need to do is find the best door size for your camper, though you'll have to make some adjustments/trimming with the cut out in order to replace your Atwood water heater there's honestly just no way around that because water heater door sizes are not universal. So you can choose from any of the following three:

- 16" x 16" Door: Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR

- 16" x 18" Door: Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR

- 18" x 18" Door: Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR68SR
