I am sorry to hear about your accident Shane and I hope you make a speedy and full recovery. It is pretty cool that you are still able and willing to get out there and fish though.
I am happy to tell you that we do have a trailer hitch available for your 2006 Chevy Aveo. For that I recommend the Curt Class 1 Trailer Hitch # C11306. This hitch is rated for towing up to 2,000 lbs, which will definitely be sufficient to pull a lightweight kayak trailer and a kayak or two. Installation will require drilling a few 1/2" holes in the bumper beam. You will find the full installation instruction linked below.
I am not sure if you have a specific trailer picked out, but we do offer a few very lightweight kayak trailers that I think would work great for you. One very popular option is the Malone MicroSport Trailer # MPG460G. The trailer itself weighs less than 200 lbs, and it can hold up to 500 lbs on the square crossbars. You could use that with a kayak carrier like the Malone SeaWing # MPG113MD which has a built-in load assist. In my opinion this would be the best way to carry your kayak and it would make loading and unloading very easy.
