Parts Needed To Flat Tow a 2002 Honda CR-V To Transfer Vehicle for Service
Question:
I have a 2002 Honda CRV that I occasionally would like to flat tow behind my F150 when I occasionally need to take one or the other for service. Im not talking about RVing and pulling behind a motorhome on a trip. Im just talking about short trips 10,20,30 miles, so I can leave one vehicle for service and have the other to drive home. Can i attach a tow bar like the BX4330 or BX7322 directly to the front, are they tie down or tow, loops for these short trips? Thanks for your reply

Yes, you can flat tow your 2002 Honda CR-V behind your F-150 using either the Blue Ox Acclaim Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX4330 or the Blue Ox Adventurer Adjustable Tow Bar # BX7322. You will need the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX2232 to give yourself the attachment points needed for connecting the tow bars.
You will want to also check your local laws to verify if you are going to need a Braking System # HM39494 due to the weight of your CR-V. This would also help to reduce wear and tear on your F-150 brakes.
Finally you will need some Safety Cables # BX88196 and Lights # C6304 to remain legal.
