Recommended Swivel Jack For Boat Trailer With 5,000 Pound Boat
Question:
HELLO , MY BOAT HAS A 5000 LBS DRY WEIGHT AND I AM LOOKING FOR A SWIVEL JACK STAND , CAN YOU RECOMMEND THE RIGHT ONE FOR THIS WEIGH/BOAT?

Your tongue weight is going to be 10-15% of your trailer weight. With a 5,000 lb boat and assuming a tandem axle trailer weighing an average of 1,000 lbs that puts you at 600-900 lbs of tongue weight. This would allow you to use the Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack # FXP10 you were looking at. It has a lift capacity of 1,200 lbs which will be more than enough. It has a bracket height of 14-1/2" retracted, 24-1/2" extended, and a 10" lift.
However, my personal recommendation would be the Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack with Dual Wheels # FXPD15L. This has a slightly higher capacity at 1,500 lbs with a 12" lift. It is the dual wheels that really make it a great choice. This gives adds additional stability and makes maneuvering a lot easier.
