How to Tell if 2017 Chevy Silverado 3500 Has OEM Puck Package for B&W Turnoverball Installation
Question:
When selecting turnover ball hitch for my 2017 silverado 3500 it is asking if vehicle is OEM prepped. What does that mean?

The OEM prep package for your 2017 Chevy Silverado 3500 will have 5 holes (4 in a rectangular pattern with 1 in the middle) that you would secure a gooseneck hitch ball like the B&W Kit # BWGNXA2061 to (see attached example).
Since you're looking at the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer # BWGNRK1016 it doesn't sound like you have the prep package.
If you're looking to do some 5th wheel towing with the B&W gooseneck kit then I recommend picking up the B&W Companion # BWRVK3500 as well since it's a 5th wheel hitch designed to anchor with the gooseneck receiver. This will actually work whether you have a long bed or a short bed. Normally we recommend using a sliding hitch for a short bed, but we've found that as long as your 5th wheel has a tapered nose you can use a stationary hitch with the Chevy trucks and still avoid hitting your truck cab while turning.
