2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz 7-Way Wiring and Brake Controller Recommendations
Question:
I already have the hitch and a hitch ball kit for my 2024 Santa Cruz but now I'll be towing a trailer that has brakes so I need a controller and the larger 7 connector. What parts do I need to tow my new trailer?

Choosing the correct wiring and brake controller can be a bit intimidating, but I have the perfect solution for you to tow your new trailer safely with your 2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz by using the following parts:
- Curt 4-Way Wiring # C59236 (if you don't already have a 4-Way)
- Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7
- No-Drill Bracket # C57202
- Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR
- Wiring Harness for Controller # RED69FR
The Curt 4-Way pulls power for your trailer lights directly from your vehicle battery so you won't be in danger of overloading your truck circuits, and then the Universal kit gives you everything else you need to get a controller installed.
Then for the controller, the Tow-Pro Liberty is my favorite controller because it can be installed virtually anywhere in your truck cab without taking up cabin space, and it uses a color-coding system for the settings so you don't have to remember codes.
