Which Tires Require Tire Chains On 2021 Subaru Outback AWD
Question:
Hello. I have a 2021 Subaru Outback, AWD with new all season tires. I need chains to get up my driveway in the mountains of NC. Should I get 4 cahins one for each tire or is 2 chains I assume on the front enough? I only need then for the 100 ft going up the steep sometimes icy driveway, a few times a year. Thank you.

According to the 2021 Subaru Outback owner's manual tire chains should only be used on the front wheels so you need a single pair. It also states you can only install class S chains like the # TC1146 you were looking at.
