Recommended Ladder Rack For 2023 Jeep Gladiator With Basin Tent and UpRide Bike Rack

Question:

Hi Etrailer team, Reaching out for some help putting together a truck bed ladder rack system for a 2023 Jeep Gladiator. Here’s the equipment I will want to use for the ladder rack system: 1. Thule Basin Wedge Rooftop Tent # TH92VY 2. Thule Upride bike carrier # TH599000 3. Eventually kayaks 4. These products aren’t necessary but I would like to use them if possible: Mopar trail rail system and a Mopar roll up bed cover. The two systems I’ve researched are Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack and Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack. I am open to any other products as well that are height adjustable and allows me to use Mopar trail rail system and Mopar roll up bed cover with the Thule tent and bike rack. I prefer the Thule system since I already have Thule core locks. The Jeep Gladiator has some truck bed configurations that might prevent the Thule system cross bars lowering below the truck bed cab. Would you be able to confirm if the crossbars can be lowered below the cab? Which systems do you recommend? Are the thule rooftop tents and Thule bike racks compatible with the Yakima system? Thank you for your help

Both the Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH500XTB and Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack # Y01151-57 are not going to be compatible with the Mopar Trail Rail system or the Mopar roll up bed cover.

I recommend the Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH500XTB. This will ensure compatibility with both the Thule Basin Wedge Rooftop Tent # TH92VY with Adapter # THXADAPT14 and the Thule UpRide Roof Bike Rack # TH599000. It will also work with the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack # TH898 which I feel is the best kayak carrier since it allows you to load and unload the kayak carrier in a lowered position rather than having to lift and remove from on top of the roof rack. You will also be able to have all your Thule locks keyed alike. If you let me know your key number I can direct you to the correct lock cores.

To answer your question if the Thule rack will lower into the bed I would need to see pictures of your bed. But do remember the Trail Rail system is permanently removed so if that is the part you are concerned about it hitting that will not be there.
