What is the Manual Override Lever for 2009 Ford F-150 OEM Brake Controller

Thanks Jon for answering my question about testing the trailer brake controller on my 2009 f150 king ranch. What does it meant put in manual override? And how do I do this? I read this somewhere else but don’t know exactly what manual override means. Thanks

Pretty much every brake controller will have a manual override. For the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 there is a lever that you move from right to left and it sends full power to your trailer brakes (see attached). For your Ford OEM brake controller there will be a lever similar to this but in the form of a slide that you use. It will be located below or to the side of the "plus" and "minus" settings.
