Troubleshooting A Newer Lippert Flow Max RV Water Pump That Isn't Working
Question:
I bought a lippert flow max 12v 10 amp 3.0 gpm 50 psi water pump last June. Yesterday I took a shower and everything worked great. Moments later when I wanted to brush my teeth - silence - no water. Nothing. I checked the 10 amp fuse and it was intact. What could be the problem and is there something I may be doing to cause this pump to die?

When you checked the fuse did you test it with a multimeter # PT89ZR to see if power was actually passing through to the water pump or did you just look at the fuse to see if it was blown? It's also not uncommon for there to be an in-line fuse at the pump and another at the dc distribution board if it's not ran directly to the battery. The quickest way to test this would be to prick into the casing of the power wire right at the pump to see what the voltage is. If you're not getting 12 volts then we know the power source or the wire running from it is the issue. If you are getting 12 volts then the motor on the pump is likely shot.
Water pumps can unfortunately go bad quickly so as long as you're ensuring there's the correct amount of voltage running to it and properly winterizing it then I wouldn't say it was anything you were doing to cause this.
