Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For Carrying Hollywood Racks Bike Rack Behind 2018 Subaru Outback
Question:
Which hitch would you recommend for this rack to be used on a 2018 Subaru Outback?

Helpful Expert Reply:
I recommend installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13410 on your 2018 Subaru Outback. This receiver will fit with the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 Bike Rack # HR1450Z and provide you enough clearance both when folded and unfolded. This bike rack measures 5" from the center of the hitch pin to the closest part of the rack when folded up and 7-1/2" when unfolded. The Curt measures 3" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the rear edge of the bumper when we installed it on a similar 2018 Outback in our facility.
I do recommend installing the 4-Way # C56040 when you install the receiver. This will allow you to connect to most small trailers and it also will allow you to add Auxiliary Lights # C53201. These lights are typically needed as the bikes can impair the view of your tail lights to other drivers.
