The best hitch for a 2024 Mazda CX-5 is the etrailer item # e98902. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Mazda with included hardware. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Mazda with included hardware.
The etrailer hitch item # e98902 is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver, it has a 4,000 lbs towing capacity and a 600 lbs maximum tongue weight.
I really like this hitch because the crosstube mounts behind the rear bumper cover leaving only the 2" receiver visible. This not only looks better but helps with ground clearance.
I have attached a couple of pictures below along with an installation video so you can see how to get this hitch set up and what it will look like once installed.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C45FV and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
I recommend using the No-Drill Mount Bracket item # 18136 and the item # C42CR to secure the 4-way connector to your hitch. This will put it in an easy to reach spot and prevent the risk of it falling onto the road.
