Do Bronze Bushings for Trailer Suspension Require Reaming When Installing Shackle Bolt
Question:
When replacing nylon spring bushings with bronze bushings do they need to be reamed before installing the shackle bolts?

Bronze bushings like the # D014-077-00 do not require reaming when installing a shackle bolt into them. The splines in the bolt might make it a little tight but that is on purpose and does not require enlarging.
