When using Curt trailer hitch # C13182 on your 2014 Dodge Durango you will not have to use a stabilization strap for a cargo carrier. I have included a link to the installation instructions and a link showing installation of this hitch for you.
The hitch is rated for 500 pounds tongue weight for use with a cargo carrier. The weight of the carrier you use will count towards the tongue weight total. Please check the vehicle owners manual for the vehicle tongue weight capacity. Which ever is lower is the capacity you need to go by.
We carry many trailer hitch mounted cargo carriers. I have included a link to them for you.
