What's with the holes in this?

The holes in the DeeMaxx 10" Hub-and-Rotor Assembly # DE49VR are designed to avoid water pooling into that part of the assembly. I wouldn't say that pooling what is a massive issue, but just the fact that DeeMaxx built this in and is making a subtle change to help maximize the life of their kit goes to show the thought and care that went into the design of their products.
