We can definitely get you set up with a weight distribution hitch for your 2024 Forest River Ibex 19QBS. It has an unloaded hitch weight (also called tongue weight) of 458 lbs like you said, and with a GVWR of 5,328 its loaded hitch weight will be somewhere in the 550 lb - 600 lb range. What you want is your hitch weight to be right in the middle of a weight distribution hitch's rating, and the perfect option for that is from Fastway:
Fastway e2 Weight Distribution with 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0800
This hitch is rated for tongue weights between 400 lbs and 800 lbs so it's perfect for the hitch weight of your Ibex 19QBS. Apart from being rated correctly, I really like this hitch because not only will it keep your trailer level, it also offers sway control, which is created by friction at two points on the brackets and is going to give you a more controlled (and safer) towing experience.
The Fastway is also easily the best value among weight distribution hitches, with a unique combination of relative cost-effectiveness and quality. As you can see by the hundreds of reviews on the product page of the Fastway # FA92-00-0800, our customers who have used it have given it a nearly 5-star rating.
It comes with a shank but you will need a hitch ball as well, with the correct one depending on your trailer's coupler:
- 2" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6080
or
- 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6100
