2008 Honda Pilot Recommended Parts to Tow a Trailer With Brakes

Question:

Hello. I have a 2008 Honda Pilot. I am going to be towing an 18 foot camper trailer dry weight 2900 pounds. Looking for a recommended hitch and what I need for wiring. The trailer has electric brakes, so I believe I need a 7 way connector.

I'd be more than happy to help you get the correct parts needed to tow a trailer with your 2008 Honda Pilot! Here's what I recommend:

- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98851
- Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55336
- Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7
- No-Drill Mount # 18140
- Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR
- Wiring Pigtail # RED69FR

I've attached some installation videos for the wiring as well as a link to our helpful article on ball mounts so we can make sure you get the right ball mount the first time.
