Mounting Bracket for 7-Way Trailer Connector and Trailer Hitch 75338 on a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
I installed this hitch and wiring kit but I need a 7 blade socket on the car side. There is not a great location to mount the bracket required to house the 7 blade connector. Have you guys seen any good solutions to this problem? I am thinking of drilling 2 small holes in the hitch to bolt on a small steel bar to which I can attach the bracket.

Expert Reply:
Do not drill into the hitch because that is going to void its warranty and could potentially compromise the structural integrity of the hitch. I recommend the Curt Easy Mount bracket # C58000 which will allow you to mount the 7-Way without having to drill at all. I have included a link to a video review for you.
