Can 12V Outlet In Rear Of 2014 Nissan Rogue Be Used For Wiring Harness Power
Question:
My new Rogue has a 12vdc power outlet on the passenger side near the tailgate. Can I just use that circuit instead of running a wire all the way up to the battery?

Helpful Expert Reply:
We do not recommend using the 12 volt power outlet in the rear area of your 2014 Nissan Rogue when connecting a circuit protected wiring harness like part # C56033 because it has a higher rated fused circuit that could allow more power to be drawn through the wiring harness and potentially damage either the harness or the vehicle. This harness has not been tested with the installation using the rear power source and could void the warranty. I have attached a link to an installation video of this harness being installed on a 2014 Nissan Rogue.
