Is Fascia Trimming Needed to Install Trailer Hitch on 2022 Chevy Trailblazer

Does the lower bumper skirt on a 2022 trailblazer rs have to be altered in any way for the installation of the hitch?

Yes there is some minor trimming of the bumper fascia/skirt on a 2022 Chevy Trailblazer (all models, including your RS) to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT55GR.
This is needed so the receiver can protrude, but the portion you have to trim is underneath the Trailblazer so it won't be noticeable. I've added a cut out from the instructions which show the 4" x 3-5/8" section that requires trimming.
Also, I just wanted to add that if you plan on towing with your Trailblazer and need a 4-way wiring harness, the correct one will depend on if you have LED taillights or not. If you DO NOT have LED taillights you need the T-One Wiring Harness # TK39FR; if you DO have LED taillights you need T-One Wiring Harness # TK26VR.
