Rear Fascia Removal to Install Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2018 Lincoln MKX
Question:
I just watched the video for installing your hitch on a 2018 Lincoln MKX SUV. The video clearly shows the removal of the rear facia panel prior to installing the hitch. Then much later when trimming the 2 plastic covers to allow one of the hitch frame bolts to poke thru, as the installer is finishing the trim with a power tool, for a brief moment that same facia panel is shown laying on the ground. It never appears to be reinstalled prior to replacing the bumper facia. Does it not fit back onto the rear of the SUV after the hitch frame is in place? Your video is unclear. Can you answer my question as to whether or not it gets reinstalled? Thanks.

It sounds like you're talking about the video of the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver, part # 75234, being installed on a 2016 Lincoln MKX. At the 5:23 mark the installer removes the fascia piece that I believe you're referring to. This part is not reinstalled back on the vehicle. It isn't shown or mentioned in the vehicle but the install details, which I've linked on this page, do mention it on the note in Step 1. When the install details state to return a part that was taken off to the vehicle owner it means that part will not be reinstalled.
If this isn't the step or piece you're referring to let me know so I can give you the right information.
