Parts Needed to Add 7-Way to 2022 GMC Terrain
Question:
Have a 2022 gmc terrain. Installing a hitch to tow a camper. I want to install a 7 pin round receptacle in case I ever want to tow something with brakes....I understand I would need a brake controller but for now I want to install 7 pin....what do you have that would plug and play with the factory harness adapter

There is no plug and play 7-way made for your 2022 GMC Terrain, so you can add one but there's a couple of parts you will need to do so, which are the following:
- Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C94FR
- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
You will first install the 4-flat, which will activate your trailer's lighting functions, and you'll then plug that into the 7-way that comes with the # ETBC7, which also gives you the wiring, circuit breakers, and rest of the hardware needed for installation.
This will allow you to use a brake controller in your Terrain like the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED24FR with Harness # # RED69FR.
And finally, just to be thorough, if you also need a hitch for your 2022 Terrain the correct fit is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C77FR.
