Recommended Hitch and Spare Tire Carrier for a 2019 RAM Promaster 2500
Question:
I have a 2019 RAM Promaster 2500 and Im looking to install this receiver to pair with the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier RM-195125 and I want to be sure the rear doors can open when the carrier is tilted to the sides. When I search in the Q/A it looks like its listed as 7-1/2inch and Im afraid it might be too tall for the door to swing over it https://www.etrailer.com/question-394745.html

I don't have a 2019 Ram Promaster 2500 in front of me so you're going to need to take a measurement of yours to confirm that the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier item # RM-195125 won't block the doors when connected to the etrailer Hitch item # e99AR. The top of the receiver sits 2" below your Promaster's rear bumper. You'll want to open your door and measure from 2" below the bumper to the bottom of your door. If this is less than 7-1/2" you'll have plenty of clearance.
On the Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier item # RM-195125 the top of the receiver to the top of the plate that the post secures to is right at 7-1/2".
If you are cutting it close you can use the Draw-Tite Hitch item # 75882 which sits closer to 3" below your rear bumper.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C58DR and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
