How to Fix Rapid Turn Signal Flashing When Converting Incandescent Lights to LEDs

Question:

Hello, I have a 2002 Ford F350 Utility body truck. On the utility body Im switching all the lights to LED. The Stop Turn Parking Light installed fine. When the Turn Signal is used the flashing is twice the speed. Goes the same for the four way flasher. What do I need to order from you to get the flashing back to normal? Thank you,

What you are dealing with is called hyperflashing. You will want to use the Load Resistor Kit for LED Turn Signals item # DI34ZR to fix it. LED lights don't draw as much power as incandescent lights so there are issues with fast flashing until a resistor is added. The resistor increases the amperage draw to resemble incandescent lights.

The resistors will install directly behind the turn signals. I don't know what you mean by four way flasher but you'll need one of these per turn signal and they are sold in pairs.
