Im curious what the difference is between the two CURT Class 3 Trailer Hitch - 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. one is code c96nr the other is c97jr

I checked with Curt and the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C97JR and item # C96NR are identical as far as your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L goes. The Curt Trailer Hitch item # C96NR is a newer design that fits a couple of different Jeep models.

I recommend going with the more cost effective option because there is no difference in the capacity or installation of these two hitches on your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L.

If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C59236 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
