LED Trailer Lights All Light Up and Blink from Side to Side with Turn Signals On
Question:
I have a stock trailer that had regular lights. I decided to put LED lights on it but after doing so I noticed something strange. The tail lights are all lit up and taking turns blinking brighter like if i was hitting the brakes, only each individual light takes a turn blinking Any ideas on whats causing this?

There are several things that could cause your trailer light to behave like this. The most likely causes are a bad or weak ground connections or a dirty/corroded trailer connector.
Make sure that both the truck and trailer side connectors are clean and free of corrosion. Then make sure the main trailer connector ground and the grounds for all of the lights are connected to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces.
If the trailer has an aluminum frame, tilt bed, or folding tongue or you placed the plastic license plate holder between a light ground and the trailer frame, any of these things can cause issues with the trailer lights.
