Solution for Gaining Clearance on 2010 Xtra Tuff Trailer
Question:
I have a 2010, 10K Xtra Tuff, Sheffieldinch cargo trailer with axels. I want to raise it slightly by replacing the axel with a straight axel. Current Axel Specs 95inch Face to face 78inch Spring Center to center Hub Bolt 6 on 5-1/2inch Axel dia. 3inch Wheel size ST255/75R15 Your part number E35SR fits the bill except spring centers are 80. Are you able to move the spring seat from 80inch to 78. I can weld new seats on if they are available loose. Alternate Can I change the springs / shackles to get more clearance instead of changing the axel?

You can definitely use the # e35SR. As you said, you can cut off the spring seats and weld on new ones to match your 78" measurement. This is not a service we offer, but we do have the spring seats # TRSS300 available. Also, swapping out the springs and shackles isn't going to do what you want.
The other option would be to flip the axle assuming your leaf springs are currently under the axle. For that you would need the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00. This will raise the trailer the diameter of the axle plus the height of the leaf spring stack.
