Parts Needed to Change Slipper to Double Eye Leaf Springs for 2K Boat Trailer
Question:
I have a 2000 lb gvw boat trailer with a Open Eye Slipper Style Trailer Leaf Springs and wan to change it to a double eye spring. Do i need spring shackles or can i bolt it in the existing hanger?

The hangers used for slipper springs and leaf springs are different enough that you'll either need to stick with slipper springs or you'll need to cut off your current hangers and weld on new ones that are designed for double eye springs.
If you decide to change everything out to double eye springs then I recommend using the following parts:
- Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # APS4
- 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles # e84SR
This will give you everything you need to replace the suspension parts on your trailer.
