How To Determine Correct Weight Distribution Hitch For 20' Cargo Trailer
Question:
I got this hitch when I purchased a concession trailer and have no idea of what brand it may be or if it is one made by someone. It appears to be a trunnion type weight distribution set up but I did not get anything other than what is pictured. I got rid of the concession trailer but now wanting to pull a 20 foot cargo trailer and thinking about getting the other stuff to utilize it as a weight distribution hitch. I would need the spring bars as well as whatever is used on the trailer frame to connect to this ball hitch. Curious as to what it may be so I can look up what parts I need. I have no idea if these things are pretty universal or brand specific when it comes to the bars as I see different types of hook ups on the trailer spring bars.

Thanks for the pictures!
I ran those by some veteran guys at the office and we're drawing a blank on I.D.ing that system. However weight distribution heads and parts are all brand and model specific so there's no way to 100% get the correct parts.
With that said don't worry, it's best to get the correct weight distribution hitch based on the Total Tongue weight of your trailer and not just piece together what you have, so we'll get you something that's going to be perfect for your specific needs.
First things first load your 20' cargo trailer exactly how you plan on using it, and use one of the measuring methods below to find your tongue weight.
Once you have that we can get you the correct system for your needs. You'll want a system where your tongue weight is right in the middle of it's capacity.
My personal favorite hitch is the Fastway e2 line due to the quality/performance you get for the reasonable cost. If you find your tongue weight is between 600-1,000lbs go with the # FA92-00-1000.
If you find you have a different loaded tongue weight just let me know and I'll make sure you get the right system!
