2012 Ford Explorer XLT Brake Controller Installation Instructions
Question:
Do you have instructions on how to install and Activator II to a 2012 Ford Explorer XLT without a tow package. I have already installed a hitch and the 4 way flat and have the 7 pin hopkins adapter. I just am not clear on how and where all the connections are made with the break controller and additional wires on the 7 pin. Can you please provide some assistance or directions....thank you!

Yes, it sounds like you have the Hopkins 7-Way Adapter part # 37185 and are looking for a way to install it in your 2012 Ford Explorer that you recently installed a 4-way into.
I attached an instructions link that will detail exactly what you will need to do and use to install the # 37185 in your vehicle and make your Tekonsha Trailer Brake Controller # TK63VR fully functional.
I also attached a video that shows a similar installation for you to check out.
