Replacement 7-Way/4-Way Connector For a 2021 Ford F-150 With Rear Ford Pro Trailer Connector System
Question:
I have a 21 F150, that has the factory 7 way, and a second connector, originally intended for the ford pro trailer system that had a secondary connector to a box of tricks fix on to the trailer. Can I replace the existing 7 way with a combined 7 and 4 way and eliminate the adapter?

Expert Reply:
You can replace the connector on your 2021 Ford F-150 with the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket # HM40975. This will eliminate the Ford Pro trailer connection for a wired backup camera and give you the 7-way blade and 4-way flat trailer connectors. You will not need the included mounting bracket as it will clip into your bumper like the factory connector. This wiring connector will fit the Ford harness without modification.
