Curt vs. etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2023 Dodge Durango
Question:
Have a 2023 Dodge Durango and was looking to get a trailer hitch. Can you tell me what the difference is between the etrailer and Curt hitches for my SUV? Thanks much.

There is just a single difference between the Curt and etrailer trailer hitches that fit your 2023 Dodge Durango, which is the finish. The Curt has a glossier finish than the matte black finish of the etrailer hitch, so you can choose which you prefer. The hitches that fit your '23 Durango are the following part numbers:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98901
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13182
The matte black finish is nice as it hides the inevitable dings, scuffs and scratches better than the glossy finish, but if you don't feel strongly either way about the finish, then just go with the best price. Otherwise, these are the exact same hitch with the same 6,000 lb towing/600 lb tongue weight capacities and bolt-on installation.
The only other thing I wanted to add is that if you plan on towing with your Durango and need a 4-way, the correct part is the T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56336.
