Parts Needed To Swap A 7-way To 6-Way Setup To A Magnetic 7-way Setup
Question:
Thanks! I think my mount on the RV will work with the magnetic connector but I’ll need a new one for my Jeep. What mounting bracket is recommended?

To use a magnetic connector you would need to replace the 7-way on the rear of your motorhome with the EZ Connector Magnetic 7-Way Trailer Connector # 319-S7-05. You would also install a second # 319-S7-05 on the front of your Jeep and use the EZ Connector Magnetic Extension Cord # 319-S7-26 to go between the vehicle and motorhome.
You'll need to make sure that you wire both sockets the same so that each signal properly transfers through. I recommend using some heat shrink butt connectors # DW05744-10 for your wiring to ensure a waterproof connection.
You'll want to remove the cable included with the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain # RM-676 since it will no longer be needed. The cable for the # 319-S7-26 is coiled so you most likely won't be able to get it to pass back through the loops that hold the cable on the NIghthawk.
