Are Tire Chains Required On All 4 Wheels of an All Wheel Drive 2006 Mercedes R-350

Question:

Do I need to order two sets of Chains for my 4 Wheel Drive R-350? I would be using them for emergency applications during a cross country trip where I would generally stay south of the snow.

If the all wheel drive feature on your 2006 Mercedes R-350 has all 4 wheels as the drive wheels all the time then you could put chains on all 4 wheels if you wanted to but you can put then on just the front or back as well. If the all wheel drive feature only kicks in when needed then you would put one set of chains on the main drive wheels.
