Per the online version of the owner's manual of your 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500, tire chains should only be installed on the rear tires of your truck. For chains, the best option, so long as you have 245/75-17 size tires, are from Konig:

- Konig Tire Chains # TH01594267

There a few reasons why the # TH01594267 are the best chains, starting with how easy they are to install, which is important because the less time you have to spend out in the cold winter weather (and potentially on the side of the road), the better. To install the Konig chains, drape them around your tires and loop the cables together; you only need to drive off and they will actually tighten around your tires and self-center.

The chains are also diamond-pattern square links which will give your Chevy the best overall tire coverage as well as excellent grip on both snow and ice, so you're covered no matter what the winter weather is.
