Would Trailer Brakes from 3,500 lb Axle Fit 3,000 lb Trailer Axle  

Question:

will the brakes for a 3,500 lb axle fit my 3,000 lb axle? The brakes are 10inch X 2.25. I also need to brake drum also needs to be replaced and I have 14inch wheels with a 5 bolt 4.5inch radius.

The Dexter 3,000 lb trailer axles use a different size of brake assemblies so what you'd need is the Dexter 3k axle brake assemblies part # K23-472-473-00. 3,500 lb trailer axles use a slightly different size assembly so they would not fit. Then for hub/drums you'd want the part # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K and you'd be set.
