Parts to Add 4-Way to 2012 Honda CR-V With Hopkins Tail Light Wiring

Question:

I have a 2012 Honda CRV used as a toad behind our RV. I installed the Hopkins HM56304 kit for toad lighting. it works great!! I also have a bike rack and installed auxiliary lights on the rack curt C53201 I will need to have the aux. lights work when being towed behind the RV and in standalone mode when driving the CRV. It would be great if i could use 1 connector for both modes, but i was told that i need separate connectors. I have a couple standard 4 pole flat connectors for these modes. Im not sure how to hookup these connectors.

What you'll need to do with your 2012 Honda CR-V is add a splice-in 4-way to use the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights # C53201. The splice-in is needed because the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # HM56304 plugs into your taillight housing, and you can't plug in both. So what you can use is the following:

- Vehicle Wiring Harness # C59236

This is a universal splice-in 4-way that will give your '12 CR-V a trailer connector so you can use the light kit.
