Is MaxxFan Deluxe Rooftop Vent 7000K a Good Option
Question:
I am considering the purchase of MaxxAir Deluxe 7000k vent I like speed control, low amps, quiet ops but am seeing a lot of chatter stating there are issues/failures with the control circuit boards 2020 models anyway. Voltage sensitivity and regulation issues. What do you know of this? Also I havent heard much good about AirXCel customer service? Should I be concerned? Would Fan-tastic fan be a better choice due to its simplicity? Thanks for any insight.

Good questions, and the chatter you are hearing is really about moisture getting in and affecting the circuit boards, but I can tell you with all honesty that is not just a MaxxFan thing; it's something that can and will happen to RV vents, including Fan-Tastic vents. I haven't had dealings with Airxcel's customer team to give any feedback in that regard, but between the Fan-Tastic and MaxxAir, if it were up to me I would go with the MaxxFan:
- MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed # MA00-07000K
People seem more pleased overall with MaxxFan, and it's really easy to use. So that's what I would go with, and it's a simple 2-wire install, with the only other thing you need being the Roof Vent Installation Kit # 344270KITW.
