How to Determine Axle Position when Building a Trailer

Im building a 18ft duel axle trailer where should the first axle center be or the front hanger be located

There is an easy way to determine axle placement on a trailer. Take a look at the picture I have included. Just plug in the numbers and complete the formula to determine the axle placement. The other factor that is going to come into play is the springs that you are going to use. Once you have the measurements all figured out you can determine which springs are going to work with that set up.
