Does 7" Electric Trailer Brake Kit Need to be Greased
Question:
Are the contact points pre-greased? IE: shoes to backing plate, lever arm mounting point.

The 7" Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-2 is ready to be installed once you receive them - no greasing is required. Trailer hub and drum assemblies are typically the pieces that need grease - if you were to add grease inside the hub assembly where the brake pads are then you run the risk of grease getting on the brakes which will affect their performance.
If you're also needing the hub and drum assembly then the kit # AKHD-545-2-EZ-2K is what you need - this does come pre-greased and ready to go!
Attached are some videos for you to check out. Be sure the pick up the Mounting Hardware Kit # BRKH7 for the brakes if you don't already have the hardware.
