We can get your 2021 Ford F-150 Hybrid set up to be flat towed, and there are a number of parts you'll need to do this. I'll go ahead and list them out for you below to make it easier to order.
- Base Plate Kit: Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BLU33FR
- Tow Bar: Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7380
- Wiring Kit (Incandescent Tail Lights): Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit # RM26FR
or
- Wiring Kit (LED Tail Lights): Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit # RM38FR
- Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Wire Kit # DM66VR
- Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400
- Supplemental Braking System: Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR
The Blue Ox base plates are the best option due to their overall quality combined with the fact they also give your F-150 a nice, clean look when you aren't towing it due to their removable arms. For the tow bar, the Alpha 2 is very easy to use due to its self-aligning arms; just connect the tabs and drive your motorhome forward. Disconnecting is easy too, as you only need to turn a handle on the bar to disengage. The tow bar has a 6,500 lb capacity so it has more than enough capacity to tow your F-150, and it also comes with safety cables so you don't have to purchase those separately.
The wiring kit is designed to prevent any type of electrical feedback to your F-150, and includes smart diodes which ensures the proper voltage always makes it to your tail lights. The charge wire kit is needed to keep your battery charged as you tow, and the brake light relay keeps your truck's brake signal from overriding the turn signal sent by your RV.
As for the braking system, the Stay-IN-Play DUO is easily the best because it gives you braking proportional to that of your motorhome. So when you hit the brakes on your motorhome, your truck is going to get the same amount of braking power, resulting in much smoother braking than other systems. Finally, I also recommend considering a rock guard to keep your F-150 free from any debris while you are towing it, the Blue Ox KarGard Towed Vehicle Protector # BX8870.
