Upgraded Equalizer, Shackles, and Wet Bolts for 2020 Heartland Mallard Travel Trailer
Question:
I have a Heratland Mallard 39’ travel trailer with tandem axle- They are 43 inches apart. The equalizer is a Dexter 13-142 that I’m going to replace on each side. The shackles are needing replaced too and the bolts I’d like to go to wet bolts. The axles are rated at 5200lb capacity. What kits do you offer? I am not replacing the leaf springs or ubolts/nuts. It sounds like you want an upgraded equalizer to replace your Dexter 12-142 equalizers. I recommend the # LC314336 you were looking at for a replacement. This matches the length of your current equalizer, which is the most important factor when choosing a replacement. The Equa-Flex will help absorb road shock and improve your ride while towing your trailer.
For shackles and wet bolts, I recommend the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers. This kit comes with wet bolts, bronze bushings, and 1/2" thick shackle straps. You will want to choose a kit based on the length of your current shackles. For 2-1/4" long shackle straps you need the # MR46ZR and for 3-1/8" # MR76ZR.
