Recommended Baseplate For A 2008 Jeep Wrangler JK With Warn Elite Series Winch Bumper
Question:
I have a 2008 wrangler unlimited JK with a Warn Elite series winch bumper. I need a base plat that will work with the bumper. Will this baseplate fit or, if not, do you have a model that will fit?

The etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit # e98949 was designed to fit a standard factory bumper so you'll need the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # 1430-3 instead.
Installation Notes: Trimming the shock absorption pad, active air shutter louvers or housing, lower air dam, air deflector, cowling and/or rock guard is required on this model. This bracket fits Moper/Warn bumpers having part number 82211715, 82211715AB, 8221175AC or 82209740AD and skid plate part numbers 82210401 or 82210401AB
If you don't already have the rest of your flat towing components then I have the following recommendations for you:
Tow Bar: etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e74ZR. This tow bar comes with safety cables so that you won't have to purchase them separately. The shank is adjustable to help keep the tow bar level without the need of a high/low adapter.
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-152-1676-7. This will transfer your braking and turning signals from the motorhome through your Jeep's tail lights.
You'll need to disconnect the battery to flat tow so I recommend installing the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle w/ Supplemental Braking System # RM-766 to make this as easy as flipping a switch.
Since you have combined wiring you'll also need to install the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 to prevent the braking signal from overriding the run signal. To install this you'll have to splice into the brake light switch wire, which unfortunately is unusable on your vehicle so you'll have to install the RoadMaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751452 to get that signal for the # RM-88400 to tap into.
Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524. This system comes with a remote that lets you easily see when your brakes are activated and adjust the settings all from your motorhome. The included charge line kit will keep your Jeep's battery charged while you tow.
