I was given your company by Yakima as a potential source for an older Yakima bike rack part. I have the old steelhead bike racks and I need a replacement locking skewer that fits this bike rack part #8002062. Do you carry this part?

I just spoke with my rep at Yakima and she said that the Yakima Universal 9-mm Quick-Release Skewer for Fork-Mount Bikes item # Y02118 will work with your SteelHead rooftop bike mount. You will need to verify the size of your axle. It is compatible with 9-mm x 100-mm bike axles.

If you are interested in replacing your SteelHead bike mount with a newer model, I recommend the Yakima ForkLift Roof Mounted Bike Carrier - Fork Mount item # Y02098. This bike carrier attaches directly to factory, round, aero, and square roof-rack crossbars.
