Yes, you can use the special 7-Way to 5- and 4-Way adapter # C35FR on trailers with or without LED lights. The adapter was designed to work with Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, and any other vehicles that are otherwise not compatible with a trailer with LED lights.

On those vehicles there is not enough draw from the LED trailer lights and the vehicle thinks there is a bulb out and will produce a warning lamp. The adapter has load resistors inside that simulate additional load so that does not happen and the lights will work on the trailer.

The other option is to install load resistors, # DI34ZR, on each lighting circuit on the trailer that has LED lights.
