Will the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver Fit a 72.5" Wide Box Frame
Question:
I have a boxed frame on my RV. The measurements are 68.5inch inside of frame rail to inside of frame rail. 70.5inch center of rail to center of rail. 72.5inch outside to outside. Will this hitch fit based on those measurements?

The Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs part # 13703 has a max frame width of 72" when measuring outside to outside. However, you could reverse the brackets and install them on the inside of the frame and it would fit but the weight capacity of the hitch could then be reduced in doing so as this has not yet been tested by Curt. That said, this is the only option we offer for a frame width this large.

I see you wrote “ However, you could reverse the brackets and install them on the inside of the frame” Looking at the instruction manual it shows this part installing on the inside of the frame rails… are you saying putting the brackets on the outside is the way to install? My issue is my 07 Jayco 5th wheel has I frame but the square tube that holds the sewer hose is welded to the inside of the frame rails…. So I was looking at this hitch setup and saw it was mounted to the inside of the frame rails and was thinking if I could flip the brackets and mount to the outside of the frame rails.. I’m confused Rob
