Use of the Rhino-Rack MountainTrail # RBC035 with a 45.5" Bike Wheelbase
Question:
I have a Cannondale Quick CX-XL with a wheelbase of 115.8 cm which is 45.5 inches. Cannondales specs show that as being measured from the front fork to the mid point of the back tire. I see that the RBC035 has a length of 45 inches according to your specs. Would I be correct that the RBC035 would be too short for this bike, or am I using the wrong measurments?

While we do have long enough roof bike racks for your Cannondale Quick CX-XL, you are correct in saying that the Rhino-Rack MountainTrail # RBC035 is too short to accommodate your 45.5" wheelbase measured axle-to-axle. This is because the rack only measures 45" long.
For a great alternative, I recommend going with the RockyMounts SwitchHitter LS # RKY1270. The SwitchHitter LS is longer and can accommodate your 45.5" wheelbase perfectly. As far as axle compatibility, this rack works with 9-mm quick-release, and 12-mm or 15-mm thru-axles. It also works with 12x100, 15x100, 15x110, and Boost 15x110 thru-axles. If you already have crossbars, the SwitchHitter LS will clamp around your bars as long as they do not exceed 3-1/8" wide x 1-3/16" tall. I recommend measuring your crossbars to make sure the clamps fit. Also, to add locks to the rack and protect your bike, you need the lock cores # RKY0332.
