Recommended Replacement for Airxcel model 48253C969

Question:

I am looking for a replacement roof top air conditioner for our granddaughters camper. The original unit is Airxcel model 48253c969. I understand the replacement number for this unit is 48203c869. The ducted air diffuser model number is 8330-763. The serial number if helpful on the existing unit is 130811688. I would need a complete unit, complete with the air diffuser and starter capacitor. Also, would need the roof gasket kit. Thank You.

The Airxcel model 48253C969 that you identify is the same as a Coleman Mach AC unit rated for 13,500 Btu. The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner, # ACM135B that you linked to is a 13,500 Btu and designed to be a cost effective direct replacement for the Coleman AC units. It will install using the Coleman Mach Adapter Wiring Kit for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners, # ACCOLKIT. If you want to add the start capacitor that stores energy to be used later to help jumpstart the unit for the next startup, that is part number # ACMSCKIT. To install this requires continued use of the original setups air distribution box and thermostat. Providing they are in good working order.

If you want to replace the entire unit with a completely new set-up, I recommend the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat, # ADV44FR. This unit is compatible with ducted or ductless systems. It has a thick, collapsible gasket with 6 foam pads that provide support between RV roof and air conditioner; the gasket seals the opening to prevent water seepage and air leaks. This is a bolt-on installation that replaces your current AC setup and includes wiring harness, mounting hardware, and screw covers.

This does not come with the start capacitor, you will need to order, # ACMSCKIT separately.

Please note the linked video showing installation of the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat, # ADV44FR.
